Firearms Equal Crazy Fun

Yesterday I had the opportunity to go out by Utah Lake and shoot some pretty sweet guns with my buddies. Our convoy consisted of myself, Adam, Stephen, Miles and his cousin Brian. The guns themselves were plentiful, and I can't remember all of them but there was a .45 Ruger pistol, SKS 7.62 mm Carbine, Beretta 12 gauge shotgun, and of course we had a couple of .22 rifles. There were a few others, but I can't remember the kind of sniper rifle Adam had. It kicked like crazy though. haha Anyway, it was crazy fun. We brought along a bunch of old dishes, Christmas ornaments, DVD players, and a computer monitor to destroy - bestowing us with much happiness. Good times. We must shoot more often! Oh and we also bought some Obama trading cards that didn't survive for very long...haha I don't get it. You'd never have seen George W. Bush trading cards that weren't making fun of him...It's a strange world we live in.

Stay Together For the Kids

I just heard that song (by Blink 182, if you live under a rock) on the radio and it was perfect. It seems like the soundtrack to my life has been right on lately. Whatever I am feeling, I turn on the radio or my iPod and there is the perfect song to express how I am feeling at that moment in time. Earlier it was "Sometime Around Midnight" by The Airborne Toxic Event. Then after that it was "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For" by U2. Good times. Oh and my mission papers are officially submitted now. So I'm about 2 weeks away from finding out where I am going. I can't wait to figure out where the people I will be teaching are. Oregon, here I come

Nostalgia

When one of your good friends is about to leave on his mission, you start to remember all the things from the past. I remember on my 19th birthday I did nothing but hang with Ty. We planned on getting a bunch of soap and putting it in the fountain by the Lifetime Fitness Center. Haha it was freezing cold and all it did was sudz up a little bit. We drove around a lot too, and read from the list of things to do when you're bored. Although we didn't ever do any of them I don't think. We soaked in the hot tub and then when we went to change, he just said "I'm changing, just so you know." But he had already dropped his pants so I saw his butt. hahaha thanks for the heads up Ty. If I remember right, his mom made us waffles in the morning. Good stuff. We went sledding on New Years Eve too. With Bigelow and Christa. At the big hill on the USU campus. That was so freaking fun. There are tons more, but you get the idea. Pretty much what I'm sayin is time goes by really fast. And I'm really glad we took the time to enjoy it thus far. Ty's been my friend since 7th grade and he's been a great example to me all these years, and one of my closest friends for the past while. I can't wait to get on my mission so I'm not stuck here being all nostalgic and reminicsing of the past. Thanks Ty, and good luck man. I love ya.

Blink 182 Reunites

So I consider myself a very huge fan of these 3 guys. Mark Hoppus, Travis Barker, and Tom Delonge. Although Tom needs to earn some of my respect back for breaking the band up. Anyway, They announced at the Grammys that they are back together, and I honestly didn't know how to react. On the one hand I'm thrilled beyond all expression because I never got to go to one of their shows before they broke up. And on the other hand...I'm going on a mission quite soon. So I have to wait 2 years to see or hear any of their new stuff. I bought a T-shirt from their site though. I guess that's all I will have of them while I'm gone. The shirts are only 10 bucks so it's a pretty good deal. And for the record, I still believe in Unicorns.

Remote Control Sabotage

Yesterday I was downloading some songs on my computer while I was sitting on the couch. My brother was sleeping on the couch next to me, and I decided I needed to go to the bathroom. While I was downstairs, I left my laptop on the couch to continue downloading songs. I grabbed my iPod and saw the program I have on it called Remote. It lets me control my laptop's iTunes wirelessly from anywhere in the house. So I found a song that screams a lot ("Six" by All That Remains) and turned the volume up full blast and pressed play. I heard the computer upstairs start screaming at my brother, and then heard my brother start screaming at the computer. He didn't realize I had left, and was yelling at me to turn it down. haha so he presses pause and I imagine he tried to go back to sleep. I pressed play again, and hear him freak out even more. Ha it was so funny. He finally just turned the computer off though. Good times.

Twilight is not gay

I saw Twilight with Breeann last night and was surprised how much I liked it. Some may find this strange and a little bit gay, but now I want to read the books. Vampires are awesome, and Bella needs to become one. Seriously. I bet it happens in one of the books. I find pieces of glitter on my skin sometimes (probably from dancing with Christa while she was wearing her red dress 6 months ago haha), so I'm pretty much already a vampire right? I had a strange dream last night too. But for security reasons I'll just say it was about garlic breath. Haha

Ice Cream, a Skirt, and a Pickup Truck

I recall a time when I took Breeann to get ice cream at Cold Stone. I couldn't take my van cause Matthew had it, so I had to use the truck, which I hate cause I can't park that thing for the life of me. So I picked her up and she was wearing a skirt. Haha I thought it was funny cause it was like it was a formal date at a nice restaurant so I felt underdressed. She said she felt like wearing a skirt, so I can't argue with that. I guess it's like my strange desire to buy more shoes. haha Anyway, we got Cold Stone and came back to my house. If I recall correctly, we watched Ghost Rider that night with a bunch of friends, but it was so dumb...I'm not sure why I remember these things...

50% of All Indiana Jones Movies Suck

Don't get me wrong, I love Indiana Jones. But the 2nd and 4th ones are terrible. I remember when I saw the 4th one in the theater. I took Bigelow on a date to see it and I hyped it up cause she hadn't seen any of them, and I was saying "The other ones are way good, so I'm pretty sure this one will be too", and "Well, except for Temple of Doom, that one sucked. But this one looks way good!" FALSE. It was so fetching stupid I was embarrassed I had hyped it up for Bigelow so much. But there is a happy part to the story! The fire alarm went off within the first 20 minutes and we had to evacuate cause someone started a fire in the kitchen. So we were outside and we just talked for about 45 minutes til they let us back in. That is when I learned that Stephanie Bigelow carries a small book of mormon around with her! I loved it. We went back into the theater, and they gave us vouchers for a free movie due to the inconvenience. So it had a happy ending. I enjoyed talking to each other outside soooo much more than the movie. Good times.

A Very Fun Night

Last Night Stephen, Mckade and myself were roaming around Herriman and found a speed limit sign that told you how fast you were going. I pulled over and suggested that we see how fast we could run, like on a recent episode of The Office. Haha we started running and our first speed was 15 mph. We all got up to 16 but never 17...as we were taking turns this guy drives up to us and says "That's the coolest thing I've ever seen, you guys just made my day." Then he sped off. At 32 mph. It was pretty awesome.

Many faces

I was organizing my pictures and videos on my laptop and came across this video of Christa. Haha I envy her face-making abilities...

Do you have a girlfriend?

So right as I'm about to go to bed I get a phone call. I work with foster kids through a company called RISE, and today one of them used my phone. Apparently this was one of his friends, and she was quite interested in me. After asking how old I am, she asks, "Do you have a girlfriend?" I of course hesitated, but then decided I'm not a liar...she then went on to tell me about the prom and how we should go together. And how we should meet first "to make this easier." I must say it was one of the funniest things ever. I honestly didn't know what to say. I mostly stayed quiet, then said, "Uh...I am tired, so..." and then she said "Right! k well i'll text you tomorrow!" then hung up. So I pretty much have a stalker now.

For Reasons Unknown

I'm not quite sure what made me click on the button that said "create blog," but I did. Call it peer pressure I guess, cause I was looking at Ty's Blog (soseeya.blogspot.com) and that is pretty much how it came to be. I dunno what I'll do with this thing, but hopefully it will be random and somewhat entertaining to my friends and family. That is just the blog that I imagine I would make. haha

Oh, and I love this picture. That is why it is there. Senior trip at Lake Powell was a great experience...
