Remember?

I went to the D.I. and bought a desk and an old fold-up chair with Breeann a while ago. haha we remembered that tonight and I thought it was funny. That was a good time, fitting that huge desk into my van somehow. Random. Then last night Kyle wrestled Sydney as if she was a man. Then he fell off the couch onto his head. haha I am glad for everyone that came to listen to my talk, and I'm grateful to everyone of you that made any sort of impact on my life. Every person I have met has somehow affected my life to give me experience to get to this point. I leave for the Missionary Training Center Wednesday afternoon, and I'm willing to bet I'm not going to have time to post again before that. Thank you all for everything. I'm going to miss a lot of you (some more than others haha) and I'm glad for any and all the support I've received from everyone. I wouldn't be going on a mission if I wasn't surrounded by the amazing people in my life. You know who you are, and I love you. God be with you until we meet again.

Spoiler Alert: Random

I renamed my iPod "Breeann's iPod" today and put all of her music on it after erasing mine...don't worry, I made a backup of everything first. It's kind of sad really. I think it screamed as I erased everything...then cried uncontrolably while I put country on it...I'm sorry buddy...Breeann will take care of you...just ignore the evil Rascal Flatts - they will destroy you if you let them. I also got a letter from Ty today. Last one before I see him at the MTC. I almost didn't write him back, but I had nothing better to do so I did. I stayed with Breeann up at USU for a couple days for her birthday, (which was a total surprise, she peed a bit I think - good job Kirrah) and I decided I could live with them. I'm pretty sure they wouldn't be ok with it haha but seriously. A million times more organized and clean than where I lived. Girls do dishes! Cool huh? I did dishes. All of them...all the time...My roommates were used to a dishwasher (their mom? haha) I guess. Not to mention they're all pretty entertaining to listen to. All of their guy stories and such are worth hearing, even if they aren't awkward or hillarious. I lost my train of thought. Oh - plus living with a bunch of good looking girls would be fun too. hahaha Not that I'm condoning it. Crap do I really know that word? I won't live with girls before I'm married. Girl. Singular. Dang it...I'm in trouble if my mission president finds my blog...haha I googled for a picture of dirty dishes and found this instead. Way funny. I cried. Even though sexism is stupid...right?

Just Do It

I have been revisting some of the old stuff I love but haven't experienced for a while. Movies, music, video games, people, and art. It's good to revisit the past I think. With 13 day's left, I urge everyone to check out something awesome and amazing. A band called Thrice. Seriously, listen to them, because even if you don't like all of it, there is a Thrice song for everyone. Most of their lyrics are biblical, based on Christ, or have amazing meaning. Do it now!!! Also, I've been listening to Dustin's solo stuff (Dustin is the lead singer) and I have decided I really like it. He has a solo album called Please Come Home, and a Christmas album called This Good Night Is Still Everywhere. So listen to those too!

16 Days And Counting

So I'm pretty much jobless now, and am just going to be enjoying my free time for the next 16 days. If you want to hang with me or come kidnapping with me somethime, let me know cause its your last chance for 2 years! haha maybe we'll put the kidnapping on hold til i get back. But I quit my jobs early so I can have time to chill and hang out with all my friends, so go ahead and contact me for a good time. haha an APPROPRIATE good time. had to clarify that so all my dude friends won't expect to cuddle. Ladies...haha anyway. Breeann and I went on a date the other night and it was great. Well, I opened her door so I'm calling it a date! haha we went to get frozen yogurt ice cream stuff at a place called Spoon Me. Holy Sour blackberries. Not the phone, the fruit. Then we took a ton of crazy pictures, most of which are on my Facebook. It was super fun, and I think we both almost peed our pants from laughing a few times. Ok, so I did a little. So what? Don't judge me.

Recruiting For A Sweat Shop

Last night was filled with tons of Halo, pizza, and a half-naked, half Japanese boy. Hahaha After pwning n00bs and stuffing our faces, the dudes and I (Adam, Dayne, Gage, James, Alex and Ben) went out for a night drive...with James tied up and gagged in his underwear in the back of my van. We would stop and James would jump out the back and try to escape, while Gage and Ben ran after him and threw him back into the van. We tried to do this with witnesses for the best desired effect. We need some more practice, but eventually I think people will think we really are trying to kidnap an Asian for our new sweat shop.

New Old Discovery

My good buddy Gage told me about a band called The Kings of Leon about a month ago. I'd heard their stuff before on the radio, but I've listened to 2 of their albums intensively since then. They are great. Seriously, if you like any kind of alternative rock, check them out. I'll be soaking their tunes up for the next couple weeks for sure. Mmmmmm....music....

Where's My Asian Friend?

There he is!

Once More, With Feeling

Once again my brain needs to be drained. Except I didn't drain it in the first place, so it is drowning in thoughts. I will attempt to distract these voices in my head with this. That video is awesome. Haha its kind of violent but that song is one of my new favorites. What else...I work for 4 more days and then I have the last 2 weeks to hang out before I go on my mission. So awesome. I'm excited for Lost tonight, and I am gonna miss that show. Music. Holy crap I'm gonna miss music. Blink is back together, Taking Back Sunday comes out with a new album in June, and Thrice is ready to start tracking their new album. I guess the good new is I'll have plenty of new music when I get back. I'd also like to thank Breeann for trading me iPods, and grant her immunity from Kameron trying to steal it from her while I'm gone. Stupid Kameron. Haha I that's all I care to type right now. Peace.

Mind Explosion

Man. The past week or so has been insane in my memBRAIN. I kind of want to drill a hole into my skull and let all my thoughts drain out of it. That would work, I'm almost 100% sure. But I would like to live to have my mind cleared aswell...so maybe that wouldn't be the best course of action. Only 23 days to work with, and my mind is overloading about all the different things I need to take with me, and also things I have to leave behind. And interactions before I leave...with dogs. And cats. I'm trying to be nice to cats lately, and it is some tough stuff. But my dog poops in my room, so I won't miss that at all. ONLY my room. I got rid of the bodies I was hiding under the carpet, so I don't know what makes her come into my room and deposit feces all the time...If anyone has any ideas on how I could maybe clear my mind without draining some sort of liquid out of my skull, that would be much appreciated.

Crazy Things

I rode a Sea Doo naked once at Lake Powell. I've gone road sledding during the winter, and hurt myself every time. I once went sledding down the Old Main hill at USU on an inflatable mattress. I tried slalom water skiing, and got my ski caught in the rope and was dragged underwater for about 15 seconds. I used construction cones to divert traffic in another direction. I've shot bottle rockets out of a car window while driving. I witnessed a car accident once, and saw a woman bleed out of her neck while screaming in horror. I've seen families torn apart by infedelity. I've known teenagers who are pregnant. I once prayed for my friend's father to conquer melanoma cancer, and saw him win. I've attended the funeral of one of my good friend's mother, and prayed for comfort upon her family. I've said and done horrible things to people, and have seen them forgive me for some reason. I've pushed friends away, yelled at my family, and lived without religion. Why has all this crazy stuff been an influence on my life? I don't know yet. But I'm glad it has happened, because I know I wouldn't be going on a mission for the one true Church of Christ if it wasn't for all these things that have given me experience. Just some crazy things I've been thinking about, dunno why exactly. Life is good, as long as we remember Christ in our daily lives, No matter what happens :)

Quote of the Day

There are those times when questions arise, hard questions - whether challenges to our doctrine or instances in the history of the Church - when I am stumped for a season or baffled for a time. But I will not give in to doubt or fear. I know what I know, and I refuse to discard or belittle what I know because of some miniscule matter that my limited understanding cannot explain for the time being...The Almighty has spoken in words and feelings that I cannot and dare not deny. My soul is at rest. - Robert L. Millet, author of "Hoding Fast: Dealing with Doubt in the Latter Days"

What Pre-Missionaries Do In Vegas

Adam and Stephen and myself were able to take a little vacation last weekend to Las Vegas to watch a lacrosse tournament. Not that we actually watched the games, but we had a ton of fun. We went to the Atomic Testing Museum and learned about the history of the Atom bomb, and got lost quite a bit. We made more U-turns in 3 days than I have in my entire life. We got to go to the Vegas Temple, and I was so glad we did, because we walked the strip and were hit with a barrage of people handing out cards with porn on them. We were blessed with the strength to not punch them all, say "Shame on you!," and run away. haha So we went into Walgreens and looked for some Pokemon cards to hand out to people on the street but they were way too expensive...so we didn't do it. We just ignored them. But next time...haha

Called to Serve

I opened my mission call yesterday and have been called to serve in Orlando Florida in the English language. I leave for the Missionary Training Center on April 15th and I can't wait!!! I leave before Adam and Stephen and they got their calls 2 weeks ago. haha but I've been 19 since October so it evens out in the end. Not to mention I will be in the MTC with Ty the week before he flies out to Italy. So hopefully I'll get to see him. I can't wait!!!

Wardrobe Malfunction

The other day I told Breeann that she needed to make time for a hug for us before she drove back to Logan. She agreed, and said she'd let me know when that time would be. So the day went on, relaxing as most Sundays are, and I decided to do my laundry. While I waited for the darks to wash I lounged around and watched episodes of The Office. In my underwear. And that is when Breeann decided to come over and give me a hug - without letting me know. She just walked in and there I was, my white legged whiteness completely exposed for the world to see. haha It was hilarious. I hope Bree thought it was awkward cause that's why I thought it was so funny. It was like a moment from The Office, so it was perfect. Good times.

Driving Around Aimlessly

I have discovered that I drive around without really knowing where I am. I went to Logan the other day to file at small claims court (long story) and Breeann and Marrie were coaching their high school lacrosse team. So they explained to me how to get there, but to be honest I wasn't really listening. haha I remember something about a stop sign and a school zone. So I drove around and looked around for a few minutes and found them. Weird. It was the same thing with the Court I had to go to before that. I had the address, but I ended up going inside the wrong building. The courts were actually across the parking lot of the building I was in. So pretty much no one should want to drive with me, cause I never know where anything is. Then again, I always seem to get there without too much trouble...Seeing the girls play lacrosse was fun though. haha and then I went to their team dinner with them and ate a bunch of good food. It would have been awkward, but I was hungry and hadn't seen Breeann or Marrie or Sydney for quite some time so I enjoyed it. Sydney wants my iPod while I'm on my mission. But so does Breeann...maybe they can fight for it. And Breeann was on one...holy cow. Barrage after barrage of comments about how sexy I am and such. Although the lacrosse team was hillarious because they thought I was her boyfriend. So I guess it was necessary haha

Firearms Equal Crazy Fun

Yesterday I had the opportunity to go out by Utah Lake and shoot some pretty sweet guns with my buddies. Our convoy consisted of myself, Adam, Stephen, Miles and his cousin Brian. The guns themselves were plentiful, and I can't remember all of them but there was a .45 Ruger pistol, SKS 7.62 mm Carbine, Beretta 12 gauge shotgun, and of course we had a couple of .22 rifles. There were a few others, but I can't remember the kind of sniper rifle Adam had. It kicked like crazy though. haha Anyway, it was crazy fun. We brought along a bunch of old dishes, Christmas ornaments, DVD players, and a computer monitor to destroy - bestowing us with much happiness. Good times. We must shoot more often! Oh and we also bought some Obama trading cards that didn't survive for very long...haha I don't get it. You'd never have seen George W. Bush trading cards that weren't making fun of him...It's a strange world we live in.

Stay Together For the Kids

I just heard that song (by Blink 182, if you live under a rock) on the radio and it was perfect. It seems like the soundtrack to my life has been right on lately. Whatever I am feeling, I turn on the radio or my iPod and there is the perfect song to express how I am feeling at that moment in time. Earlier it was "Sometime Around Midnight" by The Airborne Toxic Event. Then after that it was "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For" by U2. Good times. Oh and my mission papers are officially submitted now. So I'm about 2 weeks away from finding out where I am going. I can't wait to figure out where the people I will be teaching are. Oregon, here I come

Nostalgia

When one of your good friends is about to leave on his mission, you start to remember all the things from the past. I remember on my 19th birthday I did nothing but hang with Ty. We planned on getting a bunch of soap and putting it in the fountain by the Lifetime Fitness Center. Haha it was freezing cold and all it did was sudz up a little bit. We drove around a lot too, and read from the list of things to do when you're bored. Although we didn't ever do any of them I don't think. We soaked in the hot tub and then when we went to change, he just said "I'm changing, just so you know." But he had already dropped his pants so I saw his butt. hahaha thanks for the heads up Ty. If I remember right, his mom made us waffles in the morning. Good stuff. We went sledding on New Years Eve too. With Bigelow and Christa. At the big hill on the USU campus. That was so freaking fun. There are tons more, but you get the idea. Pretty much what I'm sayin is time goes by really fast. And I'm really glad we took the time to enjoy it thus far. Ty's been my friend since 7th grade and he's been a great example to me all these years, and one of my closest friends for the past while. I can't wait to get on my mission so I'm not stuck here being all nostalgic and reminicsing of the past. Thanks Ty, and good luck man. I love ya.

Blink 182 Reunites

So I consider myself a very huge fan of these 3 guys. Mark Hoppus, Travis Barker, and Tom Delonge. Although Tom needs to earn some of my respect back for breaking the band up. Anyway, They announced at the Grammys that they are back together, and I honestly didn't know how to react. On the one hand I'm thrilled beyond all expression because I never got to go to one of their shows before they broke up. And on the other hand...I'm going on a mission quite soon. So I have to wait 2 years to see or hear any of their new stuff. I bought a T-shirt from their site though. I guess that's all I will have of them while I'm gone. The shirts are only 10 bucks so it's a pretty good deal. And for the record, I still believe in Unicorns.

Remote Control Sabotage

Yesterday I was downloading some songs on my computer while I was sitting on the couch. My brother was sleeping on the couch next to me, and I decided I needed to go to the bathroom. While I was downstairs, I left my laptop on the couch to continue downloading songs. I grabbed my iPod and saw the program I have on it called Remote. It lets me control my laptop's iTunes wirelessly from anywhere in the house. So I found a song that screams a lot ("Six" by All That Remains) and turned the volume up full blast and pressed play. I heard the computer upstairs start screaming at my brother, and then heard my brother start screaming at the computer. He didn't realize I had left, and was yelling at me to turn it down. haha so he presses pause and I imagine he tried to go back to sleep. I pressed play again, and hear him freak out even more. Ha it was so funny. He finally just turned the computer off though. Good times.

Twilight is not gay

I saw Twilight with Breeann last night and was surprised how much I liked it. Some may find this strange and a little bit gay, but now I want to read the books. Vampires are awesome, and Bella needs to become one. Seriously. I bet it happens in one of the books. I find pieces of glitter on my skin sometimes (probably from dancing with Christa while she was wearing her red dress 6 months ago haha), so I'm pretty much already a vampire right? I had a strange dream last night too. But for security reasons I'll just say it was about garlic breath. Haha

Ice Cream, a Skirt, and a Pickup Truck

I recall a time when I took Breeann to get ice cream at Cold Stone. I couldn't take my van cause Matthew had it, so I had to use the truck, which I hate cause I can't park that thing for the life of me. So I picked her up and she was wearing a skirt. Haha I thought it was funny cause it was like it was a formal date at a nice restaurant so I felt underdressed. She said she felt like wearing a skirt, so I can't argue with that. I guess it's like my strange desire to buy more shoes. haha Anyway, we got Cold Stone and came back to my house. If I recall correctly, we watched Ghost Rider that night with a bunch of friends, but it was so dumb...I'm not sure why I remember these things...

50% of All Indiana Jones Movies Suck

Don't get me wrong, I love Indiana Jones. But the 2nd and 4th ones are terrible. I remember when I saw the 4th one in the theater. I took Bigelow on a date to see it and I hyped it up cause she hadn't seen any of them, and I was saying "The other ones are way good, so I'm pretty sure this one will be too", and "Well, except for Temple of Doom, that one sucked. But this one looks way good!" FALSE. It was so fetching stupid I was embarrassed I had hyped it up for Bigelow so much. But there is a happy part to the story! The fire alarm went off within the first 20 minutes and we had to evacuate cause someone started a fire in the kitchen. So we were outside and we just talked for about 45 minutes til they let us back in. That is when I learned that Stephanie Bigelow carries a small book of mormon around with her! I loved it. We went back into the theater, and they gave us vouchers for a free movie due to the inconvenience. So it had a happy ending. I enjoyed talking to each other outside soooo much more than the movie. Good times.

A Very Fun Night

Last Night Stephen, Mckade and myself were roaming around Herriman and found a speed limit sign that told you how fast you were going. I pulled over and suggested that we see how fast we could run, like on a recent episode of The Office. Haha we started running and our first speed was 15 mph. We all got up to 16 but never 17...as we were taking turns this guy drives up to us and says "That's the coolest thing I've ever seen, you guys just made my day." Then he sped off. At 32 mph. It was pretty awesome.

Many faces

I was organizing my pictures and videos on my laptop and came across this video of Christa. Haha I envy her face-making abilities...

Do you have a girlfriend?

So right as I'm about to go to bed I get a phone call. I work with foster kids through a company called RISE, and today one of them used my phone. Apparently this was one of his friends, and she was quite interested in me. After asking how old I am, she asks, "Do you have a girlfriend?" I of course hesitated, but then decided I'm not a liar...she then went on to tell me about the prom and how we should go together. And how we should meet first "to make this easier." I must say it was one of the funniest things ever. I honestly didn't know what to say. I mostly stayed quiet, then said, "Uh...I am tired, so..." and then she said "Right! k well i'll text you tomorrow!" then hung up. So I pretty much have a stalker now.

For Reasons Unknown

I'm not quite sure what made me click on the button that said "create blog," but I did. Call it peer pressure I guess, cause I was looking at Ty's Blog (soseeya.blogspot.com) and that is pretty much how it came to be. I dunno what I'll do with this thing, but hopefully it will be random and somewhat entertaining to my friends and family. That is just the blog that I imagine I would make. haha

Oh, and I love this picture. That is why it is there. Senior trip at Lake Powell was a great experience...
